Description:
Continuing our series on the Noble Eightfold Path, we’ve now wrapped up the wisdom section and will move on to the ethics section, which encompasses speech, action, and livelihood.
Personally, I think the practice of ethics is probably the #1 thing that is most underemphasized in Western Buddhism. While meditation is certainly important and incredibly powerful, ethical conduct has such a central role to play, and can be a great aid in bringing our lives into deeper harmony and well-being, even if we never meditate at all.
There are so many interesting things to explore on the subject, but I’ll save them for the talk, and will present a broader overview of Buddhist ethics!
