Community Discussion Overview

For both the local & online communities, I host a virtual “Discord” forum.  It’s similar to a “Facebook Group,” but without advertisements or needing to get sucked into a larger social network.

It’s completely free to participate and very low commitment — you can actively participate or just enjoy the posts.

Within the forum, there are sub-forums for the local sangha, the morning meditation group, wholesome living, general discussion, and also a fairly active daily gratitude forum.  On the gratitude sub-forum, you might consider joining me in the five-day-a-week gratitude challenge!

How to join

Via this link, you’ll need to create a Discord account, then get auto-routed to the Path of Sincerity page, hit the “join the server” tab, answer one questions, and hit submit.  Then when I log on, I “approve” your submission.

You can access Discord through (1) a web browser, (2) downloading it to your computer as an app, or (3) using it on a phone via their app.

Troubleshooting

Some people have a completely seamless experience joining Discord — after doing the above, in less than a minute, they’re done.

However, for other folks, there end up being all sorts of weird tech issues, such as:

  1. It doesn’t seem to work on iPads.
  2. Some people report their antivirus software blocking them from getting on —you could try another device, download the app onto your computer instead of accessing it from the web, or reseting the cookies.
  3. Some folks caught in this weird loop of it saying “claim your account” and then saying the account is already registered — here’s a video addressing that issue.

Anyhow, if any issues arise, let me know and we’ll figure it out!!
